Description

The Cedi Earrings are handmade using cowrie shells. They are named after the currency of Ghana. The name of Ghana's national currency, the Cedi, is derived from the Twi word for the cowrie shell, which was formerly used as a medium of commerce along with gold dust during the early history of the area now known as Ghana.
