Commemorating 50 years of organized resistance, devout endurance, and strategized revolution by the MOVE Organization in Philadelphia.
In 1985, a police helicopter dropped a bomb onto the roof of the MOVE home in the Cobbs Creek area of West Philadelphia. The resulting fire killed six MOVE members, five of their children and destroyed 65 homes.
May 13, 2021, will mark the first annual day of remembrance as passed by the City Council of Philadelphia.
